The following is a song that was written for my ex-husband about 12 years ago. The song was a celebration of our three-year anniversary and preformed by one of our dearest friends at a gathering we host in San Francisco, California.
I’m posting the song to go along with a recent blog entry “The Finality of Death”
Grief is not an emotional I deal well with. Death is so final. When someone is gone, all we have left are precious memories of the moments we shared together in life. This song, is a testimony to that memory, those moments, and a time when our life was everything I wanted it to be and more.

I know that when you got to heaven, a cowboy in a black Stetson hat was there to welcome you. Because, I know my father saw you as his son.
