An Inspirational Internet Muse…

By |2012-09-13T10:13:15-04:00October 5th, 2011|My Story|0 Comments

I need to start blogging again, why I haven’t been is irrelevant at this point, well not completely, but it is stuff I need to put behind me and get back to what I need to do. Shelly over at The World According to Eggface as usual found a way to motivate me without even realizing it! Another super snazzy give away and an extra chance to win if I blog about her contest, amazing [...]

Chaos Restrained

By |2012-09-13T10:11:21-04:00January 4th, 2011|My Story|1 Comment

Right so my mother is going to have a heart attack if she is reading this. Sorry Mom, just remember I’ve always been a rebel. Luckily I usually have a cause though. So yeah, I decided when I started this whole journey that I’d reward myself along the way with some commemorative tattoos.  My mother’s heart just dropped, I feel sort of bad, it’s going to get worse when she reads where I’m getting it, [...]

Post Op Manic Mondays

By |2012-09-13T10:10:53-04:00January 3rd, 2011|My Story|1 Comment

I’ve never been a Monday person. It’s not that it’s the beginning of the week, because for me, I work weekends more than I work weekdays. Monday is the beginning of my workout week though, and maybe that is why it feels like such a rough day most the time. This Monday was a big harder than normal. First I swam late Sunday night early Monday morning and my brand new MP3 Player that I [...]

My Closet is shrinking with me!

By |2012-09-13T10:10:13-04:00January 2nd, 2011|My Story|0 Comments

So I’m sitting here having a “moment”. A lot of my Weight Loss Surgery friends over at Thinner Times call them “Wow Moments” – moments that your eyes sort of bulge out of your head and go real wide and your mouth gapes open and you are just in shock. In August of 2009 Jason and I moved out of the house we were renting and moved back into an apartment. At the time I [...]

A rough New Years Eve feeling insecure

By |2012-09-13T10:09:38-04:00January 1st, 2011|My Story|0 Comments

It’s been really hard for me to read posts on Thinner Times where people lost 50lbs their first month after surgery, and not ask myself what the heck I’m doing wrong, super analyzing everything I put in my mouth and constantly asking myself if I screwed up, if the pouch isn’t working for me, is I stretched it, or whatever the case might be, I’m super paranoid constantly.  It seems to me like the weight [...]

I’m Completely Normal

By |2019-01-20T09:16:26-05:00December 30th, 2010|My Story|2 Comments

At least that’s what my doctor tells me all my test results say. I’m not so sure about my normalcy, I somehow doubt that I am anything close to normal, who wants to be normal anyway right? Normal is boring.  Now my blood work on the other hand, is normal and this is amazing news! I figured I’d share this letter from my doctor with you all. “Dear Ms. Williams The results of your recent [...]

My Personal Trainer Says It won’t Always Hurt

By |2012-09-13T10:08:06-04:00December 29th, 2010|My Story|0 Comments

For the love of God I hope she is right, but it’s really not too bad, it really only hurts when I try to… you know… MOVE. My workout with Suzie was so much fun last night, it was hard, really hard, but I felt so accomplished afterwards and I felt good. I’m so dedicated to the exercise thing, really. I worked out with my Personal Trainer Suzie from 5-6pm then I was off to [...]

To Eat or Not to Eat

By |2012-09-13T10:05:43-04:00December 28th, 2010|My Story|0 Comments

To Eat or Not to Eat? Alright so there is something that I’m battling with, something I’m struggling to understand. I’m supposed to stop eating as soon as I feel “satisfied” – Satisfied that’s a great word. What makes me physically satisfied doesn’t necessarily coincide with what makes me emotionally satisfied. Now at first that sounds like I want to be an emotional eater and scarf down whatever makes me happy, that’s not the case. [...]

Crazy Co-Addictions

By |2012-09-13T10:04:56-04:00December 28th, 2010|My Story|2 Comments

Yes I have them. I have them bad. Lately I have been struggling HARD with the whole not smoking thing. I will admit that I broke down and had a cigarette. 8 months of not smoking and I was stupid and broke down and had one and ever since it’s CRAZY hard not to go back. I’ve been trying to find other things to keep my attention keep my focus and keep me busy. Yes [...]
